Quota
This page is a detailed breakdown of Content Warnings Quota system.
Upon starting a game of Content Warning, the primary goal of the game is to meet the viewer thresholds
provided to you by the game by venturing down the the Old World and recording scary footage to become viral on SpöökTube.
Viewer Milestones & Quotas
On a surface level, the "Quota" that you need to reach is presented to the player as certain Viewer Milestones.
In reality the Quotas that players need to reach is based on a scoring system in the game known as Content Value
The Content Value that a player gains from recording enemies, objects, emotes and other player actions
is then turned into a Score that is used to determine the number of views gained.
The interior of the house contains a Quota Viewing Station on the table which is
normally hidden in game but can be restored through the use of mods. It displays the:
- Current Day you are on
- The Content Value that you have acquired towards the total quota
- And the total money you have.
The first quota in the game requires the player to record 300 points worth of Content Value to meet the quota.
All enemies in Content Warning have a designated Content Value assigned to them.
Aswell as most objects, emotes and other player actions. It is important to note that each
individual enemy that spawns in the map can be recorded for content even if there are multiple of the same type.
On the other hand individual Objects, Emotes and other Player Actions can only be recorded for content once a day.
Filming multiple of the same types of Objects, Emotes and Player Actions will only contribute to the total Content Value once.
The final amount of Content Value a player receives from each subject is influenced by two factors: How much of the camera's screen is taken up by the subject, as well as how many seconds it appears for. For the latter, the score is multiplied by a modifier depending on how many seconds the subject was filmed for. Three values are relevant, with the first being what most should aim for:
9.15 seconds is required to reach a modifier of .9509
13.05 seconds for a modifier of .99 and
15 seconds for a modifier of .9948981, which is a negligible difference.
