• Appearance •

The Slurper is a large, star-shaped entity with a gaping hole in the center of its body that manifests itself on ceilings. Slurper, despite being highly visible, dangles a large, nearly invisible claw on a string from the hole in its torso.

• Behavior •

The Slurper's claw hangs above the ground (usually at the height of player's torso), and will only be visible if light is shown on it. This claw, when touched, will grab a Player and force them toward the ceiling as the Slurper feasts on them. The Slurper does a moderate amount of damage, able to kill a player in 8-10 hits. Once dead, players stay trapped until released.

Occasionally, Slurper will teleport an item from around the map that has just spawned and keep it on the ground underneath its claw as a bait.

• Counters •

If a Slurper grabs a teammate, another player will have to hold [Q] to throw an item at the creature. Upon successful hit, the Slurper will emit a squelching noise and release the player regardless of if the player is dead or alive. After releasing a player, the Slurper's claw will descend back to normal position.

If a Slurper has caught you and you have a long item, such as the Shock Stick or the Boom Mic you can hold it out and drop it. If you're lucky, it will touch the Slurper and you will be released. A consistent way to escape is looking down, then spamming jump. timing with the jump rhythm, press your drop key the same time you jump and pray that your body doesn't get in the way. if you were grabbed in the head or hand you hold items with, you cannot free yourself.

Since dead players can be caught, they can be shoved into the Slurper's claw to prevent Slurpers from grabbing more players.

Another, unlikely, way to set yourself free without other players' help is to luck out and have a Bomber attack. The Bomber will try and hit you but its bombs can instead hit the Slurper, causing it to drop the captured person. The bomb's fuse is also long enough to get away from the blast.
