Extraction Box

• Appearance •

The Extraction Box is a large, almost player-height machine that stands to the side in between the House and the Diving Bell. It plays a supporting role in the game's progression and is required to complete the Quota.The box has a large compartment with a screen behind it and a disc-exporting machine on its surface.

• Usage •

During the day, players are unable to interact with the box in any way, and it remains turned off. However, after having returned from the Old World players are met with the Extraction Box compartment swung open, and the bottom of the latch engraved with the text "Insert Camera". Upon placing the Camera inside of the box, the hatch will close and the screen will display "Extracting video..." with a swirling circle. Once the extraction is complete, players will be presented with a disc from the disc-exporting device on the right-hand side of the machine. These discs are playable at the TV in the house.

If a player is met with the message "Failed to Extract" after putting their camera in the Extraction Box, they will gain a 3rd of their quota's views but will not be able to watch their footage. In this scenario, press [F3], and the in-game folder for your video will show up. At the bottom of this folder will be a recording titled "FullRecording".
